Posedarje is located on the Novigrad Bay, beneath the Velebit Mountains. Its 22 km north of Zadar, on the new high-way Zagreb-Zadar- Split..The Legend say: „ When the God created the Earth and Sky,he created the Velebit Mountains and the Adriatic Sea, and setteled in the Knights of Posedarje and the even more renowned Sea Wolves of Vinjerac“.
Here the sea and mountains join together to extend you their invitation to enjoy their hospitality.
There are several small pebble beaches along the 30 km coastline.The village of Posedarje has two large beaches, one of them pebble and the other sandy,boath located close to village center.The latter is unique due to its shallow water and is very convenient for non-swimmers and a small children and for those who prefer sand sports such as football and volleyball.
The greatest attractions are fishing, organized trips around. Very close is canon of river Zrmanja with a good conditions for ratfting and canoes.Only 15 km far is located the national park- Paklenica,ideal for the mountain touristic.
In addition to tourism, agriculture is a major resource and Posedarje is well-know for its fresh and healthy food,and delicious ham.
Its quite and relaxing place with only a few restaurants and a caffe-bars.In the middle of season are summer folk-fest and amather- teathars perfomances.
Fortcoming bus and railway stations are in Zadar – 25 km. Its connected with buses to Zadar, Zagreb, Rijeka and Split daily. The next ferry-boat port is in Zadar- 27 km. Fortcoming air-port is in Zadar - Zemunik –15 km.
